Ohio car titles must be notarized.

1. Wait to sign until you are before a Notary.
2. Back of the title top half - print name(s) on the line where it reads "Transferor’s/Seller’s Printed Name."
3. Back of the title right next to where you printed name(s) - sign name(s) on the line where it reads "Transferor’s/Seller’s Signature."

Style 2 Instructions

Ohio car titles must be notarized.

1. Wait to sign until you are before a Notary.
2. Back of the title top half - sign on the line that reads "Seller's Signature (Must sign in front of Notary/Authorized Officer."
3. Back of the title top half - print your name on the line that reads "Seller's Printed Name."

Multiple Owners

Only one owner must sign if title states "OR" between owner names printed on the front of the title.

Both owners must sign if title states "AND" or "AND/OR" between owner names or if nothing is listed between owner names.

Lien or Bank Name on Title

If your Ohio title shows a lien or a bank name printed on the front, then your title will need to be signed off by the lien holder or have a separate lien release letter.
